Coast’s founders are brothers and brought a closeness to the workplace. From that foundation, they have created a pleasing atmosphere in an historic building where they headquarter in Everett and tried to duplicate that atmosphere in their other office locations in Bellevue, Portland, and Spokane. Built in 1898 and remodeled ten years ago when it was acquired, their headquarters building creates a sense of stewardship for their part of its colorful history which translates out to their work. They invite schools to tour the building and often hold community events in it to create a sense of connectedness to the community.
Their quarterly staff meetings in the large foyer have grown into speaker-driven events in part because of this commitment to a workplace that is warm, meaningful, and conducive to the founder’s stewardship culture and vision of a close-knit family no matter how large they might be.
